Amazon mentioned today that it has reached out to Twitter to release a system that will connect the users' Amazon and Twitter accounts. By using hashtag #AmazonCart, they could send a product on their Twitter feed to their shopping cart. The reason for this is to allow users to make purchases without having to leave their Twitter feed. The only downside (or perhaps not) of this is that your followers will see what you add to your Amazon cart. Currently, Amazon's quarterly report has been disappointing due to concerns regarding their costly expansion plans. Twitter's investors are also concerned about the weaker than expected user growth.
