Just as things have been looking up for Tesla, the electric car maker has recently hit a new stump. Their plan to directly sell cars to the public instead of through dealerships have been shot down by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. This ban will start at the beginning of April when Tesla's license to sell cars in New Jersey expires. Not only New Jersey, but Arizona, Colorado, Virginia, as well as Texas believe that Tesla should do it the old school way and do their business through licensed dealerships. Their definition of that is a dealership that has at least 1,000 square feet and new car service department. Tesla fought back saying that dealerships put unnecessary costs on consumers which they can prevent by selling directly.
