With the majority of America having off work on Thanksgiving to enjoy time with families, there are some who do not able to do so. Pizza hut is one of them. Tony Rohr, a manager at one of Pizza Hut's outposts was fired for not forcing his employees to work on Thanksgiving. In his final letter, he wrote to his employer that "why can't we be the company that stands up and says we care about our employees and they can have the day off?". Obviously, as a larger number of stores are now remaining open on Thanksgiving, a lot of people are bothered by this. Since then, there has been an outrage on the web relating to this story. Pizza Hut of course set out to do its damage control, reaching out to the franchisee requesting that they hire Tony back, and the request was granted. As expected, Pizza Hut's representative in Elkhart has refused to comment and no messages at headquarters has been returned.
