McDonald's claimed that their same store sales went up last Month, but it seems that their sales in the U.S. continues to be weak. The company believed that by renewing their focus on its core menu items such as Happy Meals, they will be able to increase sales. Through the end of May, their same-store sales increased around 3%.McDonald's Asia/Pacific, Middle East regions have a similar same-store sales growth (about 2.5%). Other markets in that area are doing well except for Japan which remains weak. They have plans to release 2nd quarter results before the market opens July 22.
