With the large number of recalls we've been witness, we're bound to see more. Today's post addresses Toyota which issued 5 recalls today, affecting 6.4 million cars globally. This will likely be a big blow to their reputation for reliability and quality control. The reason for the recalls appears to be defects that affect seat rails, air bag cables, engine starters, steering column brackets and windshield motors. The company claims that they have not heard of any crashes or injuries relating to the five issues mentioned. It is surely a serious problem because air bag cable defects affect 3.5 million cars, and seat rail defects affect 2.32 million cars. The vehicles that are being recalled are RAV4, Corolla, Yaris, Matrix, and Highlander models.
