Most of us have used DirecTV at some point in our lives, since we're all TV addicts. Well, it looks like they are doing quite well this year as they are up 24% for their 3rd quarter profit. Last year they had 67,000 in subscriber gains, and now they have almost double that amount. Ever since their was more growth in broadband services, DirecTV has been having a harder time keeping up with the competitors. As a result, they changed their efforts to focus on Latin America as well. From Latin America, DirecTV was able to secure 260,000 subscribers and their revenue increased 5.4% reaching about $1.66 billion. As of Monday, their shares closed at $64.37 and was reported to be up 28% for this year.
