Just yesterday, Yahoo (YHOO) revealed that their email system was being attacked by hackers. It is kind of ironic, because just a few weeks earlier, they tweeted about Google bashing its email system (well to be fair, they did delete it and promptly apologized). According to Yahoo, they identified a few groups attempting to gain access to people's email accounts. At the moment of discovery, they made their users reset password to protect them from the intrusion. Unfortunately, it wasn't revealed the number of accounts that were affected. I personally feel like they should shift their focus more towards protecting their users from things like this. For us users, we should probably not keep too much private information in our accounts, but rather, on our own computers and private networks (which even then, are still prone to attacks).
