General Motors now has more vehicles that will be needing repair (1.3 million to be exact). The issue seems to be in regards to power steering. Based on reports, 7 models made between 2004 and 2010 can "experience as udden loss of electric power steering assist". This would indeed make the steering wheel much more difficult to turn, especially at lower speeds which could induce a crash. Including this recall, General Motors has requested over 4 million cars for repair within the last 2 month, with the biggest issue being faulty ignition switches that caused 13 deaths. This recall would cost the company around $750 million from its 1st quarter results. GM shares fell 0.3% to $34.32 in after hours trade. So far this year, their stock price has dropped just about 16%
